Vuvuzelas for BP
2010 June 30
“BP is not feeling the pain they are causing in the Gulf. BP is spending millions on PR. In order to put a bit of public pressure on them, we plan to buy 100 vuvuzelas and hire 100 vuvuzela players off Craigslist to play in front of BP’s International Headquarters in London for an entire work day. Ideally, the players will keep coming back every day until they fix the gusher.
Budget: $2,000 = $1,000 for the vuvuzela protest ; $1,000 for the Gulf Disaster Fund
Budget is set at $2000 for now, which will be enough to buy 100 vuvuzelas at $6.50 a pop (plus shipping), and leave some left for hiring some people to manage the crowds. Hopefully (and likely) we can find people to play for free (plus they get a free vuvuzela). In which case, we’ll use the remaining funds to buy more vuvuzelas and find even more players.” More

Skypark: Swimming 200 meters in the air
2010 June 29
A 380 meter-long roof top deck which spans across the length of the Complex’s three skyscraper structures. Designed by architect moshe safdie, the platform rests 200 meters in the air and is equivalent in size to the Eiffel Tower laid horizontally on its side or three football fields connected end to end. The construction cost around 80 million dollars and required roughly 7,000 tons of steel to complete. To walk the whole length of the skypark takes around twenty minutes, provided that visitors do not stop to enjoy the various attractions along the way: a 150 meter-long infinity swimming pool, bar, restaurant and spa, botanical garden with 250 species of trees and 650 plants, and an observation deck that provides a panoramic view of the waterfront. The observation deck alone is capable of holding 900 people at once, with the whole skypark having the capacity to host up to 3,900.

Lenny Kravitz Crashes New Orleans Choir Gig
2010 June 28
This apparently happened within the last few days on the streets of New Orleans. Lenny Kravitz starts the video by saying he was just sitting outside having a beverage when he heard some music in the distance that sounded like his own. As he went to investigate, he found the Voice Of Faith Choir doing a street performance and decided to get in on the action. How cool must that have been for these kids? You don’t see things like this every day:
